• Porto Energy Corp. (the Company) or (Porto), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Mohave Oil and Gas Corporation, is engaged in international exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas with a focus on the Aljubarrota 3, Torres Vedras 3, São Pedro de Muel 2, Cabo Mondego 2, Rio Maior 2, Zambujal and Peniche oil and gas concessions in Portugal (collectively, the Concessions) and is listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange (TSXV) under the ticker symbol PEC. The Concessions cover approximately 1.7 million acres on a gross basis (1.6 million acres on a net basis). The Companys strategy is a balanced appraisal and exploration approach that targets both oil and gas prospects within two major trend types in the Concessions, its Lias Resource Play and its Presalt Plays, while continuing to evaluate strategic business combination opportunities of other oil and natural gas companies or properties where it views further exploration and development opportunities exist and is complementary to its current business objective. According the Companys updated NI 51-101 resource report prepared by Netherland, Sewell & Associates International (NSAI), at December 31, 2012 Porto reported approximately 636.9 mmBOE P50 risked prospective resources, as well as P50 contingent resources of approximately 43.7 mmBOE. The company is actively marketing to farm-down its interests.
