• Our mission is to create a physically and emotionally safe environment where foster/adopted children and horses are able to develop healing relationships. We strive to provide stable moments for children living in unsettled worlds. Children who have experienced early developmental trauma or family disruption often struggle with creating healthy attachments which can impact their ability to adapt to change, navigate peer relationships and social environments, achieve academic milestones and regulate their emotional and behavioral responses. Research has suggested that one of the most effective interventions for children surviving with trauma is a long-lasting, consistent relationship and reliable connection. This is what we hope to provide for the children in our program! A Stable Situation, Inc. is now officially a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions made to Stable Moments, a program of A Stable Situation, Inc., from September 14, 2014 forward are tax deductible.
