• The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda chapter at Florida International University was chartered on October 20th, 2007. A group of six devoted students founded the chapter upon the principle of bringing the competitive edge that differentiates FBLA-PBL members to FIU. Since its inception, our chapter has attained a steady increase in membership, moving from 44 members in 2008 to 56 in 2009. Our Chapter Today:Today, our chapter is stronger than ever. With a membership base of 60 students that keeps increasing, our organization is working to consolidate itself as the leading business organization on campus. It is doing so by establishing a foundation for years to come. On one hand, we are diversifying our membership base by heavily recruiting freshmen and sophomores. Currently, freshmen and sophomores constitute close to 33% of our total members. On the other hand, we are establishing continued relationships with our previous sponsors. These fruitful relationships will allow us to ensure our chapters financial soundness for years to come. Finally, we are consolidating our partnerships with academic departments within our university so that our events may be carried on a yearly basis. This increased activity on campus will enable us to establish a legacy at our school and at the university as a whole.
