• The Marin Art & Garden Center (MAGC) is actively revitalizing its mission, vision and values to coalesce the opportunities of the 21st century after serving Marin County residents for 70 years. Located on 11 serene acres in the heart of Ross Valley, MAGC was born from the vision of two members of the Marin Conservation League who imagined a self-supporting colony of artists and crafts persons creating and selling their wares within a park-like setting. Incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1945, MAGCs primary mission has been to promote appreciation and education of the arts, horticulture and environmental conservation. MAGC remains dedicated to cultivating inspiration to create, conserve, and connect and it continues to provide the community with a unique gathering place to participate in cultural and educational events. Open free to the public from dawn to dusk, MAGCs gardens and facilities are visited by thousands of people of all ages each year. Garden-lovers come to experience MAGCs heritage trees and unique gardens. Eight resident groups help MAGC fulfill its mission to inspire and educate the community in its mission areas. With stunning gardens as a backdrop, MAGC has been a premier location for celebrating major life events, conducting educational activities, hosting corporate meetings and a myriad other special events.
