- OUR MISSIONTo inspire and enable all youth of Durham, ages 6-18, particularly those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.FUNDING OUR LIFEWORKThe Boys & Girls Club of Greater Durham (BGCGD) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and protecting children while preserving the beauty and innocence of childhood. BGCGD serves nearly 500 children every year through afterschool, athletic, and summer camp programming. The Club aims to make a fundamental difference in the lives of all youth by providing a safe alternative for youth between the ages of 6 and 18.The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Durham has been a steadfast champion in securing the prosperity of our children by offering life and educational lessons as the foundation for future triumphs. Charging no more than $10.00 a year, we provide a unique afterschool experience that helps students academically and in life. This important service is not achieved alone. Only through a collaborative effort with local businesses, area charities, philanthropic groups and generous residents has the Club formed a network of Champions for the most worthy cause of all; securing the futures of our children.
