- EmboMedics is an early stage medical technology company spun out of the University of Minnesota and now completing development of its first product. The Company's technology was developed by the Division Head - Interventional Radiology and Vascular Imaging at UMN and is targeted at the field of arterial embolization to treat, among other things, liver cancer. EmboMedics has created a new bioresorbable, drug loadable embolic bead technology designed to block blood vessels supplying tumors and then resorb to enable the reuse of those vessels for needed drug delivery. The EmboMedics product line will include both bland and drug loadable iterations designed for optimal absorbtion and drug delivery profiles for treating cancer and other disease states.
