    • Mommies In Need provides in-home childcare to stay at home parents going through a health crisis. We not only fund nannies for sick moms, but also provide them with someone who is vetted, background checked, CPR certified, and experienced in dealing with situations when a parent is suddenly ill. All completely free of charge to the families. This organization responds to a real need in society. A large percentage of families with one stay-at-home parent are living fairly comfortably and well above the government poverty level, but do not have the financial resources to hire full-time help if the stay-at-home parent becomes disabled due to illness or injury. Mommies In Need offers a tangible and relatable service to people who are in an extremely difficult situation. We are pleased that we have been able to provide over 1,700 hours of childcare to families with a sick parent in our first year and hope to continue to grow and be able to ease the burden of many more mommies like them in the future.
