• Ocean Research Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of marine conservation. Our primary goals are to support and conduct marine research and education to enhance stewardship of ocean resources. Members of Ocean Research Foundation (ORF), like many others, love the ocean and recognize its importance for our survival. More so, we value the importance of making these changes at a local level and inspiring our San Francisco Bay Area community to work along with us. Our biggest strength, is the eclectic make-up of our team. Yet despite the myriad of paths we all started on, we came to the same realization: Our Oceans, Our Lives. A reality we feel that anyone from any background can understand. As individuals, we consist of musicians, fishermen, construction workers, marine biologists, artists and even an eight-year old dynamo (just to name a few). As ORF, we join together to showcase our years of experience in local fishing, marine education, sustainable seafood, and research, such as shark tagging. In 2012, we accomplished a critical milestone by officially launching as a 501(c)3 registered non-profit. Now, team ORF works to strengthen our ocean voice through research and education. We invite you to watch how our story unfolds from the beginning and we hope to earn your support as we make, Our Oceans Our Lives.
