- Alaffia was created to help West African communities become sustainable through the fair trade of indigenous resources. We encourage empowerment, a key to sustainability, through our community projects, women's cooperatives, and education and involvement in our customer communities. We firmly believe that the cooperation of people across the world is an essential part of building sustainability in all of our communities. Alaffia began with our Classic line, and have since expanded to EveryDay Shea, EveryDay Coconut, Authentic African Black Soap, and Africas Secret. Each product features synergistic ingredients in a base of unrefined, handcrafted, and fairly traded Shea butter or Coconut oil. Our products are free of synthetics, parabens, sulfates, and are always made by hand in small batches.
