- The Hobbs Hispano Chamber of Commerce first opened its doors for operation in July 2006. The concept of the organization had begun in 2004. Discussions and planning were truly originated by the members of the Hispanic Awareness Council. Those members appointed a group to begin development of the HHCC.The Hobbs Hispano Chamber of Commerce exists to serve the needs of the Hispanic entrepreneur, business person and professional. HHCC provides a meeting place for members to network, bring ideas, gather and decimate information on starting, expanding or promoting their business in the local area. Another mission of the HHCC is to highlight and honor the Hispanic heritage and its rich culture. We bring quality events to the local community--Fiesta de Salud in the spring serves to highlight healthcare professionals bringing free screenings and information for leading a healthy life; Fiestas de Septiembre brings award-winning musical talent, food and a celebration of a significant tradition in our culture; and Mariachi Christmas held in December adds our contribution to the holiday season in dance and musical form..
