TALHO is a non-profit organization created to further our members' common goals, such as promoting health, preventing disease and protecting the environment. We work in various ways to ensure the public health of the state of Texas through leadership, vision and advocacy. We are committed to the principles of public health practice in local communities and throughout the great state of Texas.In the past, TALHO provided implementation and management of the Texas Health Alert Network. Today, TALHO continues to provide technical support services, videoconferencing services, a video-on-demand content distribution network, email services and VPN, network and systems design and management, as well as general PC hardware and software support. Beyond these services we maintain our own programming team to develop the latest software tools to meet the needs of our members. We are a one-stop IT design, implementation and support shop for our contracted public health members. We are proud to advance public health through technical leadership.In addition to our technology products and services, we provide consulting and training services to public health agencies to enhance their skills in public health practice. We offer services in the areas of strategic planning, accreditation preparation and program implementation.
