- Evidence for Action: Investigator Initiated Research to Build the Culture of Health is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, based at the Center for Health and Community at the University of California, San Francisco. Evidence for Action supports investigator-initiated research to develop the evidence-base to align with RWJFs new vision of building a Culture of Health. We fund innovative studies to address the gaps in knowledge needed to inform, develop and refine the strategies to build a Culture of Health, with a particular focus on research that will help advance health equity. To achieve our goals we will work with researchers both within and outside of the traditional health sectors. Our first Call for Proposals (CFP) will be released on June 1, 2015. The National Program Office is led by Directors Nancy Adler, PhD, and David Vlahov, RN, PhD, FAAN; Associate Directors Maria Glymour, ScD, MS, and Laura Gottlieb, MD, MPH; and Deputy Director Erin Hagan, PhD, MBA.
