- VolvoxLabs is a design-driven interactive studio blending rich visual content with art, code, fabrication and sound to create immersive experiences.We design, program, and fabricate interactive environments for art, music, architecture and public spaces. HISTORYLed by Partner and Co-founder, Kamil Nawratil, the award winning interactive studio first began creating high-end content for clients, and then to creating responsive systems in live performances, and custom built kinetic sculptures. Using a multi-disciplinary methodology has enabled the studio to work on wide-ranging applications such as live music performance, art installations, experiential brand activations, and responsive architecture. VVOX's production facility in Brooklyn is equipped to handle fabrication of all types of highly custom elements, including large interactive fixtures, mechanical and electronic elements, and kinetically engineered systems.In 2016 VVOX won the prestigious LeBook award for Best Non-Traditional Experiential Award for their innovative work on the live performance and visual/stage design for BTs Electronic Opus, and Best Single Technology Interactive from the Experience Design Awards for Amex-Rally on the River. Projects have been exhibited both in the US and internationally including, Georgia Museum of Art, SIGGRAPH, New Museum, SXSW Interactive, TEDxBrooklyn, London Kinetica; and has been featured on WIRED, Creators Project, Fast Company, Creative Applications, BizBash, and Communications Art magazine, among others. The studio is also a proud member of the highly selective, interdisciplinary community of NEW INC, at the New Museum, the first museum-led incubator designed to help foster creative practitioners working in the areas of art, technology, and design. VVOX continues to work on many projects in the US and with clients around the world with the focus of giving more movement, life and action to all things.
