• Fashion designers Emma-Jane Lord and Daniel Loveridge have joined forces to create a new, upcoming fashion brand Lord & Love. The pair studied BA (Hons) Fashion Design together in Brighton and showcased their individual collections at Graduate Fashion Week in 2013. Both designers have previous experience working at Alexander McQueen during their internships at University. Emma-Jane worked on the womenswear print design team creating prints for their SS12 Collections and then went on to support the design team at Paris Fashion Week in 2012. Daniel worked in the menswear McQ- Alexander McQueen division in the run up to their first ever catwalk show at London Fashion Week. Daniel went on to work as a design and production assistant at Unconditional in London where he worked closely with the designer, accompanying him to places such as Hong Kong and China, gaining invaluable industry experience and contacts along the way. Since graduating, Emma-Janes graduate collection has appeared in many magazines, catwalks and events, including the World Retail Awards in October 2013. Having both had a background in the luxury fashion market; the pair decided this was the ideal audience for their own label. Lord & Love will offer menswear, womenswear and accessories. The womenswear line focuses on hand rendered prints, feminine silhouettes, luxurious floaty fabrics and contrasting structured fabrics cut from technically developed patterns, all brought together by a beautifully delicate colour palette. From smart clothing, including printed fitted shirts and suit jackets with a twist, to less formal bomber jackets and T-Shirts, the menswear collection focuses on flattering the male form and includes luxurious fabrics, hand rendered prints and a slim cut silhouette. Their debut collection is currently in development and is due for release in the Autumn.
