• Over 65 years ago, Willamette Graystone founders Don Jones Sr. and his wife Hazel recognized that the post-war housing boom was creating a market for concrete building materials. So they started making concrete block. Since then the company's manufacturing facilities have expanded to include interlocking concrete pavers, segmental retaining walls, stepping stones, and septic and water tanks. Willamette Graystone enjoys a reputation as an industry leader because of its commitment to constantly update its facilities with the latest technology and equipment. Don Jones Sr. wouldn't have it any other way. Members of the Jones family are also active in national, regional and state industry trade associations. The company's headquarters remains on the site where it started in 1946 ­ on the Willamette River between Eugene and Springfield. That property has grown from a 150' x 200' lot to six acres. Today, there are eleven retail locations throughout Oregon: Eugene, Salem, Corvallis, McMinnville, Bend, Wood Village, Tualatin, Roseburg, North Bend, Grants Pass and Medford. Production facilities are located in Eugene, Salem, Bend, Medford and Wood Village. Additionally, Willamette Graystone sells through various dealers throughout Oregon and the Northwest. With some 120 employees, Willamette Graystone does business the old-fashioned way - by providing superior products and responsive customer service. In addition to selling products it manufactures, Willamette Graystone also provides all the tools and accessories any contractor or do-it-yourselfer needs to install its products. Complementary masonry products are also sold: brick, natural and cultured stone, glass block and pre-cast products. With the second generation at the helm, Willamette Graystone continues the family tradition of making and selling concrete building materials that improve the value and aesthetics of any building - whether a home or industrial facility.
