• World T.E.A.M. Sports is more than an event and sports management organizationit is a movement to change the way the world perceives those with disabilities.Built on the premise that The Exceptional Athlete Matters, we bring together as athletes people of all cultures, with and without disabilities, to accomplish goals beyond what is thought possible. For more than 20 years, we have used athletics to challenge disabled and non-disabled men, women and children to accomplish goals they never thought possible. At all our events whether mountain climbing, biking, white water rafting or many other sports four things always happen:Disabled participants build self confidence and physical fitnessThe disabled provide a role model for other disabled citizens, encouraging them to take up athletic activitiesThe disabled provide a moving inspiration to other participants and to spectators when they see disabled individuals can reach goals and meet challenges beyond anyones imaginationThe disabled and non-disabled participants become a team, working together to overcome those challengesWorld T.E.A.M. Sports is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered in North Carolina and headquartered in Holbrook, New York. Support for the organization is received primarily through individual and corporate donations and sponsorships.
