- Founded in 1991, the companys longevity can be attributed to solving two common problems leaky shaft seals and mainsails that are difficult to raise and lower single-handedly.ABS-approved, Tides Marine Self Aligning SureSeal® shaft seals are widely recognized as the industry standard. The SureSeal is connected to the vessel's stern tube using an articulating, single-convolution hose. The hose design automatically positions the SureSeal® the correct operating distance from the stern tube. No measurements are required. The SureSeal® design incorporates a removable front cap, which improves access to the lip seal. A worn lip seal can be replaced, even while the vessel is in the water. The Tides Marine Sail Track & Slide System is a high performance, low friction mainsail luff track and slide system built to handle theincreased loads and demands of today's full or partially battened, large roach and high aspect mainsails. Tides is also a leading supplier of durable, water-tight and abrasion-resistant bearing products that eliminate metal-on-metal contact and the associated problems of abrasion, electrolysis and corrosion.Tides Marine also distributes Aqualuma® underwater LED lights and MATE horns, pumps and rub rail.Aqualuma LEDs are the lights of choice for many of the worlds leading boat manufacturers, including Mastercraft, Hatteras, Sunseeker, Horizon, Azimut, Beneteau, Merritt, Spencer, Ocean Alexander and Riviera. The Aqualuma LED range features cutting edge technology and a worldwide distribution network, backed by superior, 24/7/365 customer service. The MATE product range features: bilge, water, deck washing, diesel and oil transfer pumps; IMO/USCG approved horns; patented Radial cold-fit rub rail; and the unique, stylish stainless steel Sphaera rub rail, co-extruded with rigid and shockproof PVC.
