- The University at Buffalo School of Managements Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) recognizes and supports the power of entrepreneurship to unlock human potential, create jobs, inspire wealth and invigorate the greater Western New York economy and community. The CEL provides an individualized and interactive education in entrepreneurship. Designed by entrepreneurs and for entrepreneurs, the CEL is based on proven principles, centered on best and next practices and backed by the thought leadership of the UB School of Management. Established in 1987, the CEL champions the pursuit of sustainable opportunities, long-term successes, financial independence and personal reward. More than 1,300 CEL alumni employ more than 22,000 Western New Yorkers, and their businesses are worth more than $2 billion to the local economy. Our courses: - Core: A peer-based, mentor-driven program to guide entrepreneurs in overcoming business challenges, creating new opportunities and developing meaningful connections within the business community. - Advanced Core: A professionally-facilitated, coach-based forum that guides participants as they implement and execute plans developed in Core. - Family Business: In addition to the traditional needs of any entrepreneurial venture, family businesses face unique challenges, such as leadership development, generational perspective, and succession planning. - High Tech CEL: Innovators of early-stage life sciences companies learn from established entrepreneurs, business experts, and industry-specific insiders, such as angel investors and venture capitalists. -Key Persons: Coaches key members of your company on how to reach organizational goals using individual strengths, learning styles, and communication methods. -Allstate Minority & Women Emerging Entrepreneurs: Provides a framework to help emerging entrepreneurs move their companies to the next stage of development.
