• House of Threads began operation in Tampa, Florida, when Fletcher Yeilding, our founder and owner, opened his first branch in 1963. During our more than fifty year history we have grown to a total of fourteen distribution centers serving the southeast, mid west, eastern United States, Canada and two serving Mexico. In April of 2016, House of Threads was acquired by the Wurth Group. Our growth has been centered on large OEM companies, and the heavy construction industry, which include the building of bridges, high-rise buildings and major projects (such as Walt Disney World, Orange County Convention Center, Sea World and Universal Studios and more recently, The Cooper River Bridge, The Woodrow Wilson Bridge and the Mobile Launch Pad at Cape Canaveral). Our more than 750,000 square feet of warehouse space contains over 86,000 line items of fasteners. Our branches use technology to communicate which allows each new distribution center the opportunity to meet customers needs and exceed their expectations by providing local inventory and expertise, as well as, overnight stock transfers from our other locations at no additional cost to the local customer.
