• The Institute for Pediatric Innovation (IPI) envisions a world where infants and children have access to the highest quality medicines and medical devices designed specifically for their needs to improve the length and quality of their lives.The problem: Pediatric clinicians and parents often need to adapt and improvise medical devices, drugs, and materials needed for day-to-day patient care to fit because most companies have not considered the pediatric market viable.Our solution: IPI collaborates with a consortium of leading pediatric hospitals to improve medical care through the development of new products and drug reformulations. We catalyze and fund pediatric drug and device innovation through education, collaboration, research, and advocacy.About us: IPI was founded as a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation in 2006 that is managed and led by a consortium of pediatric hospitals. We provide a platform of deep expertise in pediatric medical device and drug innovation, and a world-wide network of collaborators to assist in translating innovations into commercially available solutions. We have employed this platform to launch initiatives to address unmet needs in nursing professional education, medical device development, pediatric drug reformulation.
