    • Mt. Savage Specialty Refractories began making materials for a variety of industrial markets over 35 years ago in Mt. Savage, MD. Today, two plants, Curwensville PA and Mt. Savage, MD, produce a large variety of specialty products. Teamed with partners we now offer a complete line of alumina, fireclay, and insulating products to the refractory market.Our manufacturing plant in Curwensville, PA is dedicated to making the highest quality and most consistent pumping, shotcreting and gunning specialties in North America. Curwensville produces and ships over 1000 tons of specialty refractories each month.Our original manufacturing plant in Mt. Savage, MD is a testament to flexibility. At this plant we manufacture all forms of specialty refractories from mortars and plastics to lightweight castables and gunning mixes to high-tech cement free gunning and shotcrete mixes. Mt. Savage is a great resource for customers in need of small quantities of fresh, consistent refractory specialties, or loads of mixed products, including firebrick!!!Contact your Mt.
