• The Yellow Ribbon is a Network of Non-Profits, People and Information to Help Military and Veteran Families Recover.The Yellow Ribbon Network (Network) reduces inefficiencies resulting from Veterans applying for services from multiple organizations and limits abuse in the provision of emergency aid, employment assistance and housing assistance to military families without duplication and therefore protecting valuable donor dollars in exchange. The Network was created as a means to promote collaboration and reduce redundancy among non-profits, validate, verify and streamline requests for assistance and to couple financial education with non-profit services to military and Veteran families.Through the Network, partner organizations can access a secure central database of service members, veterans, families of the fallen who applied for and received assistance or services from those charities. Partners can check all applicants against records in the Network to determine if another charity previously helped them and review the details surrounding that assistance. All members keep notes on Veteran records to better open the lines of communication across Veteran service organizations, minimizing redundancies and maximizing donations to ensure services are going to the most deserving. The Network connects each non-profit partner to critical client information over a secure environment that is customized for each user. Whether VeteransPlus is performing financial assessments or follow-up counseling for Veterans requesting emergency financial assistance or helping Veteran families to avoid homelessness, the Network is the central nerve for all collected data.
