• Cherish De la Cruz has been a practicing attorney for over eleven years in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation and securities law. Ms. Dela Cruzs current practice focuses on estate planning, immigration, family law and corporate matters. Ms. Dela Cruz started her legal career at the Florida Office of the Public Defender, 15th Judicial Circuit honing her litigation skills through numerous jury and bench trials. Ms. Dela Cruz later focused her legal practice in securities law where she worked as a Compliance Officer advising the companys broker-dealer. She also in served in the capacity as Senior Counsel. Ms. Dela Cruz graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Honors Sociology in 1998. After emigrating from Canada, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from the University of Iowa Law School where she was a member of the Journal of Corporation Law. Ms. Dela Cruz was admitted to the State Bar of Florida in 2004 and to the State Bar of Georgia in 2006. Ms. Dela Cruz has provided pro bono services for several non-profit organizations is currently an Advisory Board Member for the Philippine American Center of Georgia and President of the River Stone Home Owners Association. Ms. Dela Cruz is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Georgia Asian Pacific Bar Association and the Fiduciary and Business law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Dela Cruz is proficient in Tagalog.
