• ProUnitas Inc. strives to empower low-income communities by providing its youth with a sustainable ecosystem of support. ProUnitas Inc. realizes that one of the biggest contributors to educational inequity in this country is not the lack of support systems and recourse but rather the lack of access to children and young adults living in low-income communities. ProUnitas Inc. believes that no single government, non-profit, or for profit entity should bear full responsibility for solving such a complex issue on its own. In order for systematic change to occur and for generational cycles of poverty to be broken, collective action across a multitude of fields must be initiated. ProUnitas Inc. therefore functions to identify needs specific to communities, bring together organizations to work together synergistically and efficiently, and then create a sustainable model to end that need, thus creating a conduit from need to action to empowerment. Over the next year, ProUnitas Inc. plans on opening its first umbrella of support systems in the Gardens community located in Houston, Texas. Vision: One day all children regardless of their socioeconomic status - will be immersed in a sustainable ecosystem of support within their communities by the collective action of government, nonprofits and business. Project One The Gardens Institute of Innovation Community Vision: One day all children living in the Gardens Community will have access to locally based health care, early childhood education and a reservoir of impactful extracurricular programs.
