We all know that we can only manage the things we can measure. Our app makes it possible to measure stress levels with the help of a smartphone camera or a simple heart rate monitor. In order to do so, Welltory uses a method based on analyzing heart rate variability, which has been around for over 50 years and is widely used in professional sports and space medicine. We combine these measurements with data from over 50 types of devices and apps that track factors like sleep, nutrition, exercise and productivity in order to figure out which aspects of a users lifestyle need to be adjusted. We then give the user specific assignments, employing video lectures, daily messages and tests to explain how to make the adjustments necessary to start feeling better. We can check whether or not the user completes the assignments through data gathered through Welltory and connected gadgets. Changing our lifestyles takes a long time, which is why Welltory programs typically last several months (even years) and users can adjust the speed of their own progress. Welltory operates according to a freemium pricing strategy: the stress & energy measurements are free, while access to in-depth analysis and recommendations requires a subscription.
