• Welcome to Kirby Studios, a multi-stage production facility located in the Los Angeles production zone. With personalized service and uniquely designed and accommodating spaces, we are equipped to handle a variety of shoots and productions, as well as market research clinics where controlled access are key features. Our campus is located in Long Beach, California, minutes from the 405 freeway and the Long Beach Airport. With state-of-the-art and secure stages and grounds, tastefully equipped lounges and meeting rooms with large screen HDTVs, and personalized touches you can be sure that you and your clients will be treated with exceptional care. Kirby Studios offers 4 stages within a 3-studio design. Whether renting our largest stage with multi-wall cyc, to our smallest stage with smooth 1-wall cyc for fashion or tabletop shoots, you will receive friendly, one-on-one attention from your first call to final wrap. With over 100 years of combined production know-how, our team works diligently to create the ultimate experience whatever the production. Besides normal stage capabilities, we offer downshot platforms for high angle shots, custom lightweight movable bounce tabs (flying flats) of varying sizes, available tungsten balanced lightboxes (up to 10x40), a 20 ft. diameter motion control turntable, and car lift for under chassis car shots. Our standard stage amenities include card key secure access, large load-in doors and ample free parking. One of our innovative features is the use of recycled shipping containers that have been reconfigured and outfitted to provide clients and crew with a unique workspace we call the CANS. With full kitchens, and comfortable work rooms equipped with widescreen TV, our fully equipped production CANS combine form and function in a unique creativity inspiring space.
