• Our Mission:The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida aims to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.Our History:Chartered on July 23, 1962, the Boys' Club of Jacksonville opened its first location, the Laurence F. Lee Club, in April 1966 at Liberty and 10th Streets. Our Impact:The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida provides hope and opportunity for over 3,600 young people in Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties. Our Clubs are committed to providing quality-after school programming every weekday to youth, ages 6 to 18. Strategically located to serve those who need us most, children in the neighborhoods surrounding the Club are at a greater risk of poverty, school failure, poor health outcomes and risky behaviors. At the Boys & Girls Club, our aim is to give these young people the skills they need to overcome obstacles, succeed in life and become responsible citizens. 90% of our members are promoted to the next grade level before summer school 100% of our middle and high school members have not become teen mothers 95% of our members have not entered the juvenile justice system
