- Maui Hand Therapy is a specialized outpatient clinic, which rehabilitates any injury to the upper extremity. It is unique in that custom splints are fabricated on premises in order to achieve optimum comfort when needing to rest an inflamed area or after surgery. Maui Hand Therapys main goal is for patients to maintain as much function as possible while healing from their injury and ultimately returning them to their previous daily activities.Laura Burger, OTR, graduated from Towson University located in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2003. Since then Laura has been assisting individuals in being as independent as possible with whatever illness or injury presented to her in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. Lauras specialization is treating injuries to the upper extremity. She has attended a 6-month fellowship at the world-renowned Philadelphia Hand Center in order to provide exceptional care in this area. Laura likes to balance her life with working and spending time paddling, scuba diving, swimming, and practicing yoga.
