- The missions of S.O.S. is to inspire and motivate K-12 students to pursue STEM careers by providing resources for schools, educational institutions and conscientious businesses to execute their education outreach programs. SOS will:-Develop & execute STEM initiatives that align with the Science TEKS-Develop & implement hands-on activities and other educational programs to inspire and motivate K-12 students-Provide training for education coordinators and school volunteers-Provide professional development for teachers in STEM subjects-Provide equipment and personnel to execute outreach services including exhibit development, exhibit transportation, exhibit on-site execution, exhibit training-Perform science demonstrations and career awareness sessions for students-Develop & implement success metrics and reporting-Develop new partnerships leading to future collaborations and sponsorships
