IT SHOULD TRANSFORM. In a rapidly changing world, the ability to adapt is critical. With an education grounded in the liberal arts, Southwestern students bring the skills that modern employers value most in graduates: the ability to think critically, communicate clearly and solve complex problems.SMALL IS HUGE. Forget the 300-seat classrooms. Here at Southwestern, youll study in small classes averaging just 15 students. In this more intimate, more active learning environment, youll engage, youll discuss, youll debate, youll connect and, as a result, youll thrive.LIFE IS INTERCONNECTED. YOUR EDUCATION SHOULD BE INTERCONNECTED, TOO. Paideia is our innovative curriculum promoting interdisciplinary study. In short, Paideia is about connections, bringing together multiple perspectives from different disciplines to explore real-life problems. Paideia is the perfect embodiment of the liberal arts, empowering students to think in broader, more collaborative, more original ways.FROM HERE TO ANYWHERE. Knowledgeable and experienced, confident and prepared, Southwestern graduates are highly sought after by the nations leading organizations and graduate schools. In fact, 92 percent of our students are employed or accepted to graduate or professional school within nine months of graduating. Plus, our Office of Career Services is ranked number one in Texas and #4 nationally.
