The Charles A. And Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation

Description

• The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation (lindberghfoundation.org) is dedicated to sustaining the Lindberghs legacy of utilizing technology to balance the effects of human development on our environment. Air Shepherd is an initiative of the Lindbergh Foundation. Founded in 1977 by friends of Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh including Neil Armstrong, Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, Sir Edmund Hillary and others the foundation is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt nonprofit organization, not a family foundation, that has supported innovative research for over 35 years, and now focuses its resources on aviation-related initiatives benefitting the natural world. In the past we have addressed a large number of problems and issues, but now, in the face of the extraordinary destruction to wildlife in Africa, which is directly related to the burgeoning markets in China, Vietnam, and the United States, we have decided to mount a major campaign to address this very timely issue. Continuing Charles and Annes obvious interest in aviation, we have initiated our Air Shepherd program, specifically to address the poaching issue in Africa. Due to the extensive loss of wildlife, rhinos and elephants in particular, along with the urgency of developing an immediate solution, all resources are currently and exclusively dedicated to supporting the Air Shepherd program.
