• Alliance Medical Ministry is a faith-led non-profit organization whose mission is to serve working uninsured adults of Wake County in need of affordable health care. Opened in January 2003, Alliance offers a primary care home to patients by operating on a private practice model. In 2010, Alliance completed 12,400 patient encounters and provides home for 8,000 patients. Alliance has been a pioneer in deploying electronic medical records and electronic practice management systems, enabling efficient management a growing patient population. Medical services include:Primary care for chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertensionAcute care for minor illnesses such as strep throat, pink eye and fluPharmacy dispensing prescription and over the counter medicationsDisease management education and support programsAlliance programs result in improved health outcomes, efficient use of financial and staff/volunteer resources, and dignified patient care comparable to (and in many cases better than) medical care available to insured patients. The clinic is open from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM daily, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM on select Saturdays, and provides 24-hour coordination of a patient's medical needs.
