• Future Leaders of America provides educational experiences, and promotes the personal development of latino youth and families in both the Santa Barbara & Ventura County regions. We primarily serve youth ages 14-18 as we prepare them with tools and experiences to purse higher education with the intention of fostering a greater awareness and participation in responsible leadership in a global and democratic society.This vision expands to create a community where confident and equipped Latino students and their parents are empowered to engage in addressing the challenges of their community and society as a whole; and where cultural divides have been bridged by an appreciation of the rich blend of voices that makes this country special.Goals --- To inspire students to persue higher education as a means to improve their lives and career choices. --- To help underprivileged youth become leaders effective communicators, and positive role models for other youth --- To instill an ethic of civic responsibility and the confidence to actively participate in the democratic process to better the lives of others
