• JLH is a security clearance consulting company for folks who are (or maybe) applying for a federal security clearance (SF-86) or a Public Trust Position (SF-85, SF-85P). JLH is owned & operated by Jim Hennessey, a Federal Background Investigator (Ret.), who ran federal background investigations (bi) for 25 years.Jim retired in July 2008 as a Special Agent from the DOD (DIS + DSS) and with OPM-FISD and has since (as a Security Clearance Consultant) assisted folks undergoing (or may undergo) a federal bi. Obtaining a federal security clearance (or Public Trust Position) is not a lot of fun.
