- AESOP Technology was founded in 2019 by a team of Biomedical Informaticians, physicians, and pharmacists. We have developed a system, MedGuard, to increase patient safety by identifying medication errors at the time a physician inputs a prescription. MedGuard uses Machine Learning to compare the prescription and patient information to a knowledge base created by running Machine Learning on top of a massive 1.3 billion prescription data set from the National Health Insurance Administration in Taiwan. The depth of knowledge from MedGuard allows us to alert physicians of a possible error with a false positive rate that is 10x lower than traditional rule-based alerts. It works for all specialities and both acute and ambulatory care. We offer multiple integration options and pricing plans, including bulk reporting based on claims data, an overlay system that can be installed in one day, and full API integrations to support real time alerts for large scale roll out. MedGuard is based by 10 years of research, is FDA approved, and is already being used to monitor and provide alerts on over 1 million prescriptions per year.
