Our admissions policy gives preference to students who are homeless, in foster care, or from low performing schools. A Broome Street Academy graduate will possess the 21st-century knowledge, collaborative and technological skills and personal qualities that will enable them to contribute to their community and pursue their educational and professional goals.As a public high school that opened in the fall of 2011 in the SoHo area of Manhattan, Broome Street Academy is uniquely able to provide non-academic services through a close partnership with The Door, New York Citys premiere youth development organization, providing an exceptional model that seamlessly integrates rigorous academics and youth development services all under one roof.
