    • With a mission of promoting conservation through educational experiences in wilderness, we provide immersive hands-on outdoor education in the heart of the old-growth Opal Creek Wilderness. With our base of operations in the historic mining town of Jawbone Flats, we are surrounded by our greatest treasure and asset--a fully-functioning old-growth forest ecosystem, protected from ridgeline to ridgeline.We host almost 2,000 participants annually in our outdoor school, educational workshops, wilderness medicine certifications, and summer youth backpacking expeditions. Four of our rustic cabins are available for private rental.
