- Mr. Thomas C Lavery, founding owner of Lavery Chevrolet worked for General Motors for 17 years as a Zone Manager. In 1964, he purchased Ashley Chevrolet, a dealership on Hartshorn Street, just behind Union Ave and the United Methodist Church in Alliance, Ohio. Two years later, Mr. Lavery moved the dealership to a larger facility he built at 1096 W. State Street again in Alliance. William Lavery (Tom's son) is the current owner of the facility has continue to keep family values while keeping up with today's consumer. The dealership has a entirely new showroom, completed in 2013. Along with sales of New and Used Vehicles, there is a GM Certified Service Department, BodyShop and Collision Center, Parts Department as well as 100 Vehicle Rental Department.
