• The Knew New is a home-goods lifestyle company that carries a curated collection of contemporary decor, gifts, and accessories with an emphasis on textural and graphical details. We believe that good design is timeless, and we strive to carry products that you will love now, and ten years from now. The Knew New was founded by Kailani Smith. For six years Kailani worked in account management at advertising agencies and marketing firms in the Pacific Northwest and Los Angeles. Surrounded by creative-minded individuals, she was inspired to merge her passion for design with decor. However, when decorating her first home, Kailani found it challenging to find unique and high-quality, modern decor that wasnt overly trendy. In 2013 she left her career in advertising to create The Knew New as a way to carry the enduring decor she would want to use in her own home. The Knew New blog launched in conjunction with the store in October of 2013. Initially the blog was created to help promote the store, but it has become Kailanis creative outlet to share ideas about decor, food, and travel, and a way to build community with others who share her interests.
