- Redeemer Radio was formed in 2002 by lay Catholics answering the call of Pope John Paul II to use modern media to spread the Catholic faith. In December 2005 Redeemer Radio purchased WLYV AM 1450 - bringing full-time Catholic radio to the Fort Wayne and surrounding area.In 2012 Redeemer Radio expanded by broadcasting in 89.9 FM in Bryan, OH owned by the Knights of Columbus Council 1915. and then in late 2014 started airing on WRDI 95.7 in the greater Michiana areaRedeemer Radio broadcasts programs from EWTN, Ave Maria and some locally produced programs.
