- TheYoung-Investor.com website was created on February 25, 2010 on a very cold and snowy day in Stockholm, Sweden. The creator, Ryan J. Mitchell, created the website for Finance students like himself. He felt there was not a website out there that catered to the young, ambitious, and knowledge seeking student. Most of the other business websites he believed fell into 2 different categories: Entertaining or Fact Providers. Of the entertaining websites, analysts with extreme views and/or self-benefiting proclamations littered the pages, providing the viewer with no new knowledge. With the fact providing websites, information was displayed similar to that of an encyclopedia; facts, facts, and more facts with little interpretation for the average business individual. This is where The Young Investor steps in and provides a service to the viewer. Practical information is displayed with analysis provided in order to achieve a level of comprehension that can be appreciated and acted upon.
