- Childrens Factory is an industry leader in high-quality, safe educational products in the categories of soft play, sand and water, room dividers, furniture, dramatic play and costumes. Established in 1981, we are a major supplier of early education products for use in daycare and school as well as homes across the USA, Canada and around the world. We strive to have innovative original designs and highest quality products to meet and exceed your expectations. For over 35 years, Childrens Factory has been leading the way in early childcare equipment. We celebrate our founder, Mike Richter, who was the pioneer in designing soft play equipment that encouraged discovery, community and gross motor development. Mike and his wife, Barbara, felt a commitment to children that extended far beyond the five children of their own and over 30 foster children who shared their home through the years.Childrens Factory began in the attic of the Richters historic home in Kirkwood, Missouri and quickly grew to employ over 100 employees in the current manufacturing facility in nearby Union, Missouri. After many years of innovative design and growth, the company changed hands but continues to carry on the same enthusiasm for superior creative education. Our team has kept the children who use our products at the heart of everything we do. We continue to expand our product offering to further address developmental milestones and inspire creativity and diversity.We consider your childs safety a top priority. The Childrens Factory team is unified in our mission to providing the safest products for them today while doing our part to preserve the environment for their future.
