Hovr.

Description

• HOVR is the worlds first patented, NEAT certified, scientifically tested device that provides unconscious, natural leg and lower body movement, all while sitting. Its like a swing for feet which gives 360° movement and supports a variety of activities including walking, marching, balancing and swinging using suspended footpads connected to a desk or stand. Whether it be at work, in a classroom, while watching tv or playing video games, HOVR allows users to keep moving throughout the day without sacrificing productivity. The key is NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis), which includes any motion done without consciously thinking about it (fidgeting, tapping your feet, etc.). HOVR channels that activity into trackable movement that burns at least 17 percent more calories than sitting still while not being a distraction at work or school. Developed with support and validation from the Mayo Clinic and University of Illinois, HOVR helps counteract many of the problems associated with sedentary behavior. A lifestyle of prolonged sitting results in what has been dubbed sitting disease and is associated with an increase in obesity, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, even among those who exercise regularly. HOVRs unconscious movement and non-distracting benefits have been recognized as a tool that can improve ADHD/hyperactive students concentration. Standing desks improve posture, but ignore the issue of being still all day. Desk treadmills and ellipticals are expensive and distracting from the work day, HOVR is the best of both worlds. With the desk mount version priced $65 and the stand version $125, HOVR is a fraction of the cost of a standing desk or desk treadmill and more affordable than an under-the-desk elliptical.
