    • Founded in 1968, to create a path to employment and economic stability for previously incarcerated individuals, HIRED has since grown to become a go to workforce development nonprofit for disadvantaged jobseekers and adults and young people facing distinct challenges. HIRED provides access to life-changing programs that help people assemble the skills they need to compete in todays workforce. Annually, HIRED serves over 7,700 people through our continuum of work-readiness, job training, employment coaching, and wraparound support services. Last year, HIRED placed 3,000 people in jobs. HIRED is active at the intersection of disadvantaged jobseekers and employers to improve economic equity for all in our community. HIRED's programs have won numerous awards for effectiveness and innovation, including a prestigious Recognition of Excellence Award from the U.S. Department of Labor.
