• Spring Hill is an independent school serving Bay Area families with children from 18 months through 6th grade, and adding 7th and 8th grades in fall 2017.Spring Hill's Montessori program for children 18 months through kindergarten includes fully bilingual (Spanish and English) and science-based classes, weekly music classes, makers projects, before and after-school programs, and extra-curricular classes. A whole-child approach to education is the basis of our teaching philosophy. Teachers hold Montessori certification and all classrooms are equipped with Montessori-specific materials. Spring Hill's Academy program for 1st-6th grade offers a STEAM focus (science, technology, engineering, arts and math). This includes a strong humanities curriculum which is integrated into project-based and innovative learning, including weekly makers classes, computer coding and design, community outreach, and a philosophy that supports whole-child education, social-emotional learning (SEL), individualized and collaborative work. Daily art classes are an important part of the curriculum and are taught by our in-house art director. PE is also offered daily by our on-staff PE teacher. Ratios in our Academy program are 10:1.Spring Hill is located in Petaluma, southern Sonoma County, and serves families from the Bay Area.
