• The mission of Love INC of Lake County - Love In the Name of Christ - is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. Through our partner churches, we help people move out of debt, off support, and on with life in Christ. The Love INC Clearinghouse utilizes our community network to determine which church or social services are available to someone in need calling our Help Center. Once we verify the need, we connect them into the available community resources, social service agencies, or ministries in our partner churches. Our current ministries include: - Furniture: delivering basic furniture needs, with a focus on something to 'eat on, sit on, and sleep on' - Household Starter Kits: delivering basic kitchen & bath needs, such as dishes, pots & pans, bath towels - Layette Kits: providing a portable crib and other newborn items to new moms - Clothing: providing an opportunity for verified clients to shop at our mobile clothing closets, held throughout the year - Car Repair: partner mechanics provide the labor to fix safety-related issues, while the verified client covers the cost of the parts - TBD!: other ministries continue to develop as needs in the community change and churches build ministries to support them
