• Lawton Park Capital Management, LP, is the manager for Lawton Park Limited Partners, LP and Lawton Park Offshore Fund, Ltd. Both vehicles launched in January 2015 and employ a long/short equity strategy that seeks to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns through deep fundamental and accounting research and a long time horizon on both the long and short side. This approach aims to create a basket of securities from the bottom-up with each one having at least one source of idiosyncratic and highly researchable alpha. We are value-oriented and have a bias to lower correlation special situations, but we are also active in classic value and in higher quality/GARP. On the short side, we use proprietary earnings quality screens as a source of fundamental ideas, along with more traditional fundamental sources which often involve companies earning what we believe are unsustainably high returns or pursuing ill-fated acquisition strategies with mis-aligned management and shareholder interests.
