• Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide students with hands-on experience in the fixed income market in the Isenberg School of Management. We produce high quality research in fixed income markets, in particular, high yield corporate bonds and fixed income ETFs. About Us: The Minutemen Fixed Income Fund was founded in 2013. The group is made up of student analysts, a Portfolio Manager, and a governing Chairman. In our weekly meetings we discuss ongoing research and market updates, covering subjects such as interest rate movements, Fed Statements, monetary policy, ratings changes, and much more. The group also hosts a 3-hour session each week on Bloomberg terminal training. By joining our fund our analysts commit to spending 20 hours a week engaged in research. Resources: We have access to Bloomberg terminals, financial databases at the Isenberg School (including Computstat and CRSP), Morningstar data, and Moodys historical rating and default risk data. We are in regular contact with academic and industry professionals. Our members are invited to attend the weekly Moodys Research Seminar series hosted by the Finance department. Alumni, Faculty, and Professional Support: Our success is a result of our supportive community consisting of Isenbergs faculty, alumni, and accomplished professionals in the industry. Our alumni and faculty are consistently contributing to our fund by preparing teach-ins, discussions, and networking opportunities for our members.
