• The Mission of ACDC is to initiate, stimulate and facilitate opportunity in Atchison County through economic and community development. ACDC works to improve the economic development opportunities in Atchison County by enhancing the stability of our business climate. ACDC assists entrepreneurial companies, responds to inquiries, and develops incentives for doing business with Atchison County. Additionally, ACDC supports the county by promoting local businesses and by providing education and resources for owners and employees. For new businesses in Atchison County, ACDC offers resources, assesses needs, and refers individuals to the most appropriate expert for University Extension, Small Business Administration, or another quality resource. ACDC contracts specifically with Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation for individualized assistance. ACDC provides staff and financial support for local volunteer efforts such as Tarkio Renewal and Atchison County Wholesale Water Commission. ACDC staff participates in regional economic and community development groups like Northwest Roundtable of Economic Developers, Leadership Northwest Missouri and the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments.
