• Founded over a half a century ago, the Hospital Association of Rhode Island (HARI) is a statewide trade organization that assists member hospitals in effectively meeting the health care needs of Rhode Island through advocacy, representation, education and services. HARI ensures the needs and perspective of members are heard and addressed in state and national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates, and system transformation matters. HARI and its members work collaboratively to address issues impacting Rhode Islands health care system. Issues include increasing health care costs, health care transformation, eliminating patient harm, rising medical liability premiums and decreasing reimbursement. Together with its members, HARI works to ensure that all Rhode Islanders receive comprehensive, high-quality care. HARI also offers affiliate memberships to organization that support the health care mission. The affiliate membership program is part of an ongoing effort to build and strengthen alliances between hospitals and health care organizations in Rhode Island.
